Registration Status
All registrations are placed in Pending status upon submission. Pending status confirms that your registration has been received but does not guarantee entry into the field until eligibility is reviewed and payment is successfully processed.
Payment Timing
Entry-fee payment is processed 21 days before Round 1 using the payment method associated with your registration. You will receive a receipt once payment has been captured.
Cancellation Fees
- More than 24 hours before Round 1 — $100 cancellation fee.
- Within 24 hours of Round 1 — $200 cancellation fee.
- No-Call / No-Show — $200 fee.
How Refunds Are Calculated
- The applicable cancellation fee is deducted from the entry fee paid.
- Any eligible refund is issued to the original payment method.
- Bank or card-network processing times may vary; funds typically post within 5–10 business days.
- VELA Tour does not refund third-party processing fees separately assessed by the payment provider, where applicable.
Cancelling Before Payment Is Processed
If you cancel before your payment is processed (more than 21 days before Round 1), no charge will be captured and no cancellation fee applies, provided the cancellation request is received and confirmed by tournament administration prior to the scheduled payment date.
Failed Payments
If the scheduled payment fails and cannot be corrected within a reasonable period, the registration may be cancelled and the spot released to the waitlist. Players will be notified by email before cancellation, when possible.
Event Cancellation or Postponement by VELA Tour
- If VELA Tour cancels the applicable championship outright, paid entry fees are refunded in full.
- If the event is postponed, players may transfer to the rescheduled date or request a full refund.
- If play begins and is later shortened, cancelled, or reduced due to weather, course conditions, or safety, refunds are not automatic and refund determinations remain at the sole discretion of VELA Tour.
How to Submit a Cancellation Request
Send cancellation requests to info@velagolftour.com with your name, event, and registration reference. Verbal notice alone may not be sufficient — a cancellation is effective only once confirmed in writing by tournament administration.
